Where does gratitude come from?

Gratitude comes from how you choose to see, and it has the power to change your life.

It shifts your perspective – from I have nothing to I have everything, from I am nothing to I am all I need – and therefore your reality.

It shows you that you are enough, that you have enough.

It exercises optimism.

It gets you out of the confines of your head.

Gratitude is like a muscle. You can develop it to have more of it.

It begins with silence. It helps quiet down your thoughts and allows you to hear yourself feel.

At the very beginning of the day, look around and say specific thank-yous. They might begin obvious and ordinary.

Thank you for coffee.Thank you for avocado, for the notebook, for the pencil, for the time, for this sunny morning you have given yourself. Thank you for the life.

Thank you for the disproportionate good fortune. Thank you for love.

If you are having a difficult day, or a difficult moment, say thank you. Ugh. It’s hard. I do it through gritted teeth. Thank you. Thank you for this client who cancelled the session after all the prep work had been done.

Thank you for the lesson, because although I now feel like I wasted time, I know how to avoid this in the future.

If you are angry, say thank you. Thank you for the fight. Thank for all the things others teach you about yourself. Thank for reminding you that sometimes we speak in different languages. Thank you for the time you spend trying to decipher you; mercurial and effervescent.

At the end of the day, say thank you. For the day, for the good parts and the bad, for beauty and all the good things that hide inside bad things.

Say thank you for absurd things, ridiculous things, small things, glorious every day things you take for granted.

Thank you for the way sunlight catches the leaves of the tree outside. Thank you for the curve of that white bowl and for the refrigerator and my orange cushion. Thank you to my feet.

Thank you for my family and thank you for my friends and thank you for my new pillows.

Thank you for insomnia and the panic and the angst.

“Wear gratitude like a cloak”, said Rumi, “and it will feed every corner of your life.”

7 Reasons Why Gratitude Is Important

The greatest gift you can open on any day is your two eyes.

If you undervalue what you have, you will end up overvaluing what you don’t.

Your divine needs are more important than your earthly wants.

A grateful heart is better than a bitter soul.

You learn the value of water when the rivers are dry. You learn the value of light when the winters are prolonged. You learn the value of food when the fields are bare.

If you don’t take inventory of your blessings, ingratitude will try to steal them from you.

Wisdom makes things possible. Gratitude makes things bearable. Hope makes things manageable. Joy makes things pleasurable. Appreciation makes things wonderful.

“One who is ungrateful for little deserves nothing. One who is grateful for little deserves much. One who is grateful for much deserves all.” – Matshona Dhliwayo

Gratitude is amazing and saying thank you to GF or Almighty for the simplest things in our daily life will change our life and perspective. There are so many things that people take for granted and being mindful of the small things creates a grateful heart that is full. Saying thank you for anything anyone does for you is just a great manner as well.

Never forget that “ it’s not happy people who are thankful, it’s thankful people who are happy”.

GF’ Blessings.
