The Sri Yantra (Shree Yantra)
Shri Yantra (Sri Chakra) is the philosophical and mathematical representation of the Divine Mother Sri Lalitha Maha Tripurasundari’s Creative Power, Dynamic Process and her intimate play with the un manifest Consciousness in the sport of creating and destroying this illusory world through an incessant cyclic process.
The existence of Shri Yantra has been since 5000-6000 years ago as per the reliable antecedents of the Yantra in Book 10 of Atharva Veda. The Shri Yantra comprises of nine interweaved isosceles triangles (Four isosceles triangles with the peaks upwards, representing Shiva, the primordial male essence or Masculine. Five isosceles triangles with the peaks downward, symbolizing primordial female embodiment Shakthi engraved within a circle which leads to the formation of 43 smaller triangles. The ancient designs of Sri Yantra were available in both 2-dimensional as Yantra diagram and also in 3-dimensional as a Meru Chakra (Meru meaning the Mount Meru the celestial mountain at the center of the Universe) the solid structure of Multi Pyramid Geometric Grid.
The drawing of the triangles on the curved surface suggests the knowledge that sum of the angles of such triangles exceeds 180 degrees. The question that the physicist and historian of science John Barrow (1992) has asked is whether these shapes intimate a knowledge of non-Euclidean geometry in India centuries before its systematic study in Europe. It is possible that the Yantras were made by craftsmen who had no idea of its mathematical properties. But scholars have debated and proved that the intricacies of the construction of this yantra require high level mathematical knowledge.
Sri Yantra is one of the most propitious, significant and powerful Yantras, which not only gives the maximum material and spiritual gains to the devotee who offers prayers and salutations to it, but also proves beneficial as a remedial solution for the defects and inadequacies in healing sciences of Vaastu and Medicine. It is the source of accomplishing all worldly ephemeral desires and rewarding all wishes through our inherent spiritual power and mind strength. “Sri Yantra” also known as Shree Yantra wherein Shree means prosperity or affluence and Yantra – Meaning “Device” – The Device or Mechanism for Wealth. Shree Yantra is certainly the solution and means for all the issues, problems caused by karmic influences and negativity in our life. Anyone devoted to Shree (Sri) Yantra attains much greater affluence, good health, mental peace and harmony. Shree Yantra helps to overcome all the obstacles in our life. The Yantra helps the devotee to reach greater heights in his pursuits of wealth and peace. The Yantra can be successfully used under expert advice and guidance through inward and outward meditation processes initiating from the Bindu, the centre of the Yantra, for spiritual and material accomplishments respectively.
Sri Yantra
Shri Yantra is the representative form of all Gods and Goddesses of the Heavens. Shree yantra is possessed by Brahma, the creator of the Universe and applauded by Vishnu the protector of the Universe and pervaded by Shiva (the unmanifest static substratum of the universe). Shree yantra is associated deeply with the Ancient Art of Vaastu and has special mention in the ‘Vaastu Shastra’ portions of scriptures. The Rishis explain Shree Yantra as a single entity combining the cosmic, magnetic, solar, lunar, planetary, material and spiritual energies. Shree Yantra is referred by scriptures as a Divine Medium of storage of energy which has the potential to act according to our sincere and focussed prayers, and pick up a particular cosmic gravitation wave (ray) emitted by any planet or other universal object(s) and transmute them into productive vibrations. These vibrations are then powerfully transmitted to the environment where the Shree Yantra is placed and worshipped thereby extinguishing all destructive forces within the vicinity of the Yantra. Shree Yantra is attributed with supreme concealed powers which can be experienced by a devotee of Sri Mata within a short span of time.
All our ancient powerful temples, such as Tirumala Temple, Tirupati, Puri Jagannath Temple, Puri, are all constructed based on the 3-D properties of Sri Yantra (Meru Chakra). These structures retain the power of Sri Yantra owing to their dimensional properties creating vibrations in resonance with nature, thanks to adherence to the divine ratio (phi ;1.61803), pi (3.142) and the logarithmic scale invariant fractal frequency distribution (natural in a Fibonacci number series identical with God’s design in nature’s distribution) strictly adhered by our Stahapathis (Hindu Temple architects) based on Atharvana Veda fundamentals, which are same in the construction of Sri Yantras.
One can worship with utmost devotion, the Divine mother through 3-D Shree Yantra – Maha Meru Worship / Abhishegam for receiving both material and spiritual prosperity abundantly and eternally.
